Somatic Coach for Women
Hi, my name is Laura Ortiz, for more than 7 years I have been practicing and studying, new ways to connect deeper with myself, learning how to regulate my reaction to my emotions, and being able to face challenges in my life.
My struggles with mental health were my motivation to find a way to be at peace with all of my parts. My trying, and failing led me to discover Somatics and Trauma work, it changed my perspective on life, myself, and my relationships. It gave me something I lacked before, going beyond insights and into embodied practice, to create changes that translate into tangible results for my life.
Learning about my nervous system, how to regulate it, and how much it impacts my emotional world and thoughts made me realize how much energy and time I had been putting into avoiding the uncomfortable, I was deep in a survival state, incapable of imagining or acting upon my imagined desires consistently.
Today I am finally doing things I had planned and dreamed of years ago, and that I was not able to go through with because I lacked the emotional capacity to hold discomfort, uncertainty, pressure, and frustration. And also to experience without guilt the joy, pleasure, and deep rest that I want.
I believe a lot of women are also in a survival state without knowing that so much of their actions and thoughts come from patterns learned long ago, that no longer support the life and career they are dreaming about. If you are here, is because you have realized that you have these patterns and are willing to commit and invest to transform yourself.

Professional Experience
Laura Ortiz is a multifaceted professional, who started her career in the corporate world. There she worked for over a decade, taking on the role of designing and leading a variety of projects such as well-being, talent, leadership, and change management, collaborating with high-level leaders and people from different backgrounds and cultures.
Her focus has always been on people, how to elevate them, break their limiting patterns, and bring balance into their lives through coaching and personal development techniques.
Her first journey into entrepreneurship was in Meditation and Mindfulness, where she created and sold a set of Mindfulness Cards for Spanish speakers. Laura also offered Meditation and Mindfulness 1-1 training and group workshops.
After moving to The Netherlands, Laura decided to shift professionally and pursue full-time her passion for coaching and women's development.
She started her own coaching business, as a Mind-Body Coach, where she merges over ten years of professional experience and training to offer 1-1 and group coaching to professional women and training services to organizations.

A common mistake when we want to achieve change is doing too much too fast, resulting in a fast collapse back to old patterns.
Instead, we will focus on making manageable and consistent actions.

— Two things are true: the path to transformation is not perfect, fast, or easy. And, it will give you freedom from the limits that keep you in the same place.
— You are worthy, valuable, and so wise already.
— If you don’t believe the last statement, it’s because there is a pile of embodied beliefs/behaviors you acquired growing up.
— You needed those embodied behaviors at some point in your life, to survive, to be loved, accepted, seen, and taken care of by the people around you.
— There is another way to be loved, accepted, and seen that does not compromise your boundaries, values, needs, and wants.
— The more feelings you can hold, the less you will feel overwhelmed by them.
— Change can be awkward, challenging, and sometimes lonely. You don’t have to keep trying to do things alone, let’s partner up and make the things you are longing for: happen.
